Since 2022 I live in Sant Cugat del Vallès, a town in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. After 20 years in Freiburg, Germany, I moved to Sant Cugat to live there with my wife Ana from Argentina.
In a way it is halfway between Germany and Argentina - geographically and culturally. It is a great place to live, with a lot of nature, a great climate and a lot of culture.
I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in the city (cars even stop for pedestrians at zebra crossings) and the many opportunities to go out into nature. Especially the Montserrat mountain fascinates me, but also the natural parks at Collserola, Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac (La Mola!) and Montseny. And at the same time Barcelona with its many cultural offers is only a few minutes away by train (well, in reality its more an hour altogether, but that's still ok) and you can return home by public transport even at night.
